The successful Project Manager will have to ensure that new Chassis and Brake designs are compatible with brake refinement targets, they will also have to co-ordiante CAE, Dyno and vehicle pre-development loops to install refinement counter-measures before.

It will be necessary to work closely with CoC teams, especially chassis teams to identify cost effective solutions to any Brake NVH issues, assist development of modelling techniques for early identification of Brake NVH issues and undertake or participate in GTDS Foundation Brakes projects as required.

The successful candidate will also need to benchmark appropriate competitor vehicles, including development of any new tests required to characterise the NVH attributes of the brake system.

Skills/Experience Required
*You will have knowledge of brake system design and be able to identify the specifications that influence Brake attributes.
*You will have strong leadership skills and will have experience of leading issue resolution within cross-functional teams
*An understanding of related Chassis systems (such as suspension structures) is essential for target negotiations.
*Experience of vehicle test and subjective evaluation is required.
*Knowledge of industry standard NVH measurement systems (LMS Test.lab, HEAD Artemis, Prosig, etc.) is an advantage Ideally you will be degree qualified in a mechanical discipline.
*Usage of 6-sigma disciplines is desirable.
*Experience of modelling mechanical system interactions using simulation packages or Excel/VB is desirable

Education Required
*Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
