Project Manager - Banking Payments - Cutting EDGE Technologies

Our client is one of Australia's leading and largest Financial Services Organization that has a reputation for market leading use of technology and a range of innovative products to both business and personal markets. They have a very large technical footprint that combine a dynamic range of technologies and market leading technologists in an ultimately, highly complex landscape.

This position sits within a large enterprise services PMO team, charged with delivering technology products for superior customer experiences. Their portfolio of work has a significant increase in its pipeline around the payments processing as the organization looks to provide STP across multiple diverse streams into a centralized finance system. This will require extensive business interactions with stream heads, close work with business analysts and then leadership and direction of a broad range of technology SME's.

This is a standalone role that will require a personality who is capable of engaging stakeholders at the highest level of business, and then work with technical SMEs' to elicit requirements and take full control over all resources, relating to this important step in payments technology. You will oversee one of a number of initiatives in the bank regarding the use of COntext INterchange (COIN), Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) standards and utilization of the Australian electronic bill payment system (BPAY) in combination with traditional and new 2.0 streams. This will see you draw on your knowledge of these protocols and systems to provide business oversight to the implementation of new initiatives. The company is looking to leverage off the success of previous innovations in the market, and deliver a more refined and integrated experience to its customers.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- 5+ years' experience in project management
- Formal qualifications in Project Management (PMP certified, Prince 2)
- A track record of delivering innovative payments products
- Hands on knowledge of financial services messaging frameworks - SWIFT, COIN, BPAY
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Extensive E2E Project experience (Initiation > Planning > Execution )
- Highly Innovative approach to the utilization of technology
- Proven ability to manage/direct technology teams
- Mobile payments knowledge will be highly desirable
- Full working rights for Australia
