Project Manager - Banking Change

Project Manager - Up to £260 - Halifax - 6 months - Business Not IT Change -Requirements Gathering - Retail Banking - Financial Services

Our client, a large and well established, market leading financial services organisation is undertaking a major project, that is involved in several within their retail division. The Project Manager will support the programme with approvals, governance and general help and be responsible for delivering work packages within the larger programme.

Responsibilities:

- To ensure a common understanding of the business needs and the project deliverables.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all project deliverables
- Develop and maintains effective working relationships with appropriate colleagues in own and other business units, ensuring key stakeholders are identified and effectively managed
- Aid with the creation of project plans. Ensure that business and IT plans align in conjunction with the IT Project Manager
- Manage, track and mitigate allocated risks and issues, ensuring that they remain fit for purpose throughout the project, spotting opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the review of project documentation that is produced (eg. Feasibility Studies, Functional Specifications)
- Identify and assess dependencies and put in place and manage dependency agreements
- Assist in understanding and managing the test strategy of the Retail element of the programme
- Assist and plan the Implementation Approach across both the Retail element of the solution into a Group-wide programme

Skills Needed:

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with confidence clearly, effectively and concisely
- Analytical skills-Ability to present results in the required format and ability to communicate results to a wider audience if necessary
- Previous banking & Payment experience is preferred
- Project Management and planning experience desirable
- Excellent planning/organisational skills
