This is a 4 month contract opportunity.Overview
Our client is seeking a GIS Project Manager Assistant who has experience with web applications and/or GIS within to assist the business PM to carry out the project planning tasks required before year end.
The business PM will work with the Vendor to deliver the project plan, including the identification of stakeholders, major deliverables, budget estimates, project schedules, resourcing plan, risks and mitigations.
Role and Responsibilities
The project has not started; hence, the project scope has not been defined at this time. However, some of the high level objectives of the Web Mapping Framework Improvement project will include the following:
- Improve the base mapping functionality
- Improve the interactive map design
- Improve the web site's mobile capability.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proven experience with project planning & initialization (i) Experience creating project plans (ii) Experience identifying stakeholders and KPI's (iii) Experience identifying major project deliverables (iv) Experience creating project budgets & schedules (v) Experience creating a project resourcing plan (vi) Experience identifying risks and mitigations strategies
- Experience with IT/Web/GIS related projects.
Desired Skills
- Previous work experience with Government Organizations or equivalent endeavors.
