Project Manager - Asdefcon

A new role has arisen for a Project Manager to join a global force in the defence and aerospace industry on a three month contract basis.

The role will see the suitable applicant taking responsibility for project planning, scheduling and delivery and working very closely with existing vendors & suppliers to ensure they are meeting deliverables and current contract arrangements.

The suitable candidate will bring a solid understanding of ASDEFCON standards, ideally with up to date knowledge of the latest framework.

In order to be successful in this role you need to have exceptional communication and negotiation skills gained within the defence or aerospace industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Project Manager is responsible for managing all facets of programs for which he/she is the program manager.
- Manage all contracts and sub-contracts related to each program.
- Act as single point of contact to the customer and the conduit for communication with the customers for all issues relating to the program.
- Report progress on activities related to the program(s) and highlight potential risks, initiate actions to mitigate them.
- Co-ordinate activities with other sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers and manage contract variations.
- Review documents delivered by sub-contractors and those produced by the company.
- Manage risks with Vendors & Suppliers.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- ASDEFCON Framework experience is critical.
- Strong experience with Project Planning, Scheduling and understanding of Statement of Work agreements.
- Significant experience in Defence, Aerospace or Engineering related projects in the capacity of Project Engineer or Program Manager.
- Experience of working in a multicultural environment
- Good communication skills
