Project Manager, Account Set Up, Funds Management, Banking Operations

BACKGROUND:

My client is an international bank based in Brussels. You will be joining the Account Set-up (ASU) team in the Funds business to improve efficiency and service to clients. Requires a good analytical approach and interest in the fund market/asset management. Multiple stimulating projects are ongoing within Product Management and Funds Agent Network Management. Scope to put your mark on some key strategic projects.

TASKS:

Full title for the role is: ASU Transformation Programme Project Manager.

The Account Set-up (ASU) team's mission is twofold:
1. The Account Opening team is responsible to ensure timely opening of client accounts on the Transfer Agents' books;
2. The Account Updates team is responsible to handle any account changes (correction of errors, client requests, change in the funds database) to preserve or restore consistency within the bank's Funds Settlement unit or with the Agent's books and Participant's needs.

Market evolutions, new regulatory requirements and evolving client needs are requiring the bank to continuously review its service delivery. Reviewing the bank's Account Opening strategy is one of the key pillars to achieve its ambitious cost reduction targets.

The ASU Transformation Programme Project Manager is reporting to the Head of the Funds Project Team.
Act as driver to ensure timely delivery of projects that are part of the ASU roadmap;
Define and understand the projects/initiatives which will help the bank to reach its target;
Monitor the business processes and interactions;
Translate into actions;
Secure alignment between different teams;
Monitor the delivery of the projects assigned to you;
Report the evolution of your projects on a regular basis to the ASU Working Group;
Build a continuous dialogue with other Funds' teams to ensure current constraints are understood and future impacts are managed;
Ensure high-quality operational readiness and external client service roll-out;
Organise and run the daily activity according to LEAN principles.

SKILLS:
Experienced project manager, with minimum 10 years of work experience in a similar or relevant role;
Prior experience in the Funds industry/Asset Management/Investment Banking/Banking Operations/Financial Services is a must;
Ability to manage different types of initiatives (market/client initiatives, process reviews and IT projects);
Language: English;
