Project Manager - 12 Month Contract

Our client is recruiting for an experienced PM with a background in PMO, Finance Control and Insurance, to take responsability for a number of Risk, Investment and Change Management projects for a new program of work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage and monitor the project plan and budget, to ensure successful completion of the planned activities and delivery of the project on schedule
- Define the content/format of and prepare the various achievement reports to be distributed on an agreed timeframe
- Establish, implement and manage processes and procedures covering configuration management, including Change Control, Risk & Issues Management, Documentation Management and Product Assurance
- Foster strong working relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure Governance methods are understood and fully applied within the project
- Support the Change and PMO team delivering the effective operation of all PMO processes and the PMO team as a whole to develop delivery and regularly appraise the effectiveness of change programmes progress to all stakeholders.

THE KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

- Strong track record of leading and delivering large change projects.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and strong track record in stakeholder management
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and be a good team player.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a person with a strong PMO background, ideally coming with Insurance or Banking experience.
