Project Manager

Harvey Nash is looking for a Project Manager for a 9 + month project in Switzerland with a workload between 50% and 60%.

The role is for a candidate to support the Program Management which is the central planning, reporting and admin function. S/he will showcase her/his ability to manage, organize and communicate project related results to the Program Leader and Senior Management.

You are responsible for

- Managing and supporting as PM the technical team for reporting, with the goal of achieving the best team work and collaboration to achieve the stream and program goals
- Managing vendor relationship in regards to project
- Managing the plan and activities in alignment with the other Program Streams, main focus is Reconciliation stream needs which are priority 1 for the program
- Managing the business stakeholders, mainly business owners of each delivery, to ensure their collaboration in the project in terms of requirements definition, approval and validation
- Maintaining a good collaboration and communication with the business PM and Business program manager to control scope, good communication and prioritization in the scope deliveries
- Coordinating, communicating and aligning with Solution owners of GCP, GRP and
- Updating and managing the risks impacting the project, and managing the implementation of contingency plans
- Alignment with initiatives hitting the project, making sure that coming impacts to the scope, plan or resources is understood, analysis is done with the team and program management is engage and updated
- Managing the technical team and their communication with the Business Analysts, making sure that the requirements are understood and reviewed
- Managing the transition of new deliveries to operational team, making sure they are aware of the increase of capacity needed in advance and resources are in place
- Managing the scope change process and making sure it is understood and is followed by the business owners, business analyst and stream team
- Making sure all PMM deliveries are created, reviewed and approved
- Seeking and supporting innovation in the project deliveries in alignment with Solution owners and IT Finance Architect

Requirements

- Minimum of 6 years of project management experience preferably in a global, matrixed, diverse environment
- 8 years of experience with Business Intelligence/DWH
- 5 years of experience with SAP-BI-IP
- Broad experience in the conception and implementation of BW solution for Finance functions in big companies using SAP BW/IP
- Fluent in English
- Strong Project Management skills
- Sound knowledge of standard project tools and methods
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex issues on a global level. Ability to operate and work with people on a virtual basis (remote teams) as well as in a multi-cultural project environment
- Experience in leading and supporting technical project teams remotely while leasing with program manager
- Customer oriented person
- Capability to think strategically
- Excellent understanding of complex landscapes and relationships (business, systems, policies, etc.)
- Excellent ability to communicate to others not only what is being done and how, but also why
- University Degree (preferably Informatics, Science or equivalent) or MBA
