Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for 2 x French speaking Project Managers to join our client located in Namur, Southern Belgium. This is the French speaking region of Belgium; hence the required language for this role is French. Our client is in the energy sector.

This is a three years contract, therefore has got that added long term benefit to the successful candidates.

Job Description of the mission (context, objectives, activities, deliverables):

Our client is currently working on the development and sustainability of the infrastructure supporting information systems. This essentially repeats the data centres, data storage and network. Priority projects will be part of different programs managed by a program manager.

In this context, the objective of this mission consists mainly of:
- Ensure coordination with teams of DEX in charge of operation and infrastructure architect, project management for the deployment of HW and SW solutions for the client infrastructure but also in the upstream phase participate in defining the scope and identifying constraints or impacts on existing infrastructure;
- The function will not be limited to the technical part of the project but will include the introduction of A to Z solutions, namely:
- Study and recommendations based on technical elements of choice, organizational costs, and ... applying selection criteria inspired procurement procedures
- Definition and validation of a detailed project plan corresponding to project management standards
- Implementation of project resources (internal and possibly external human resources, financial and technical)
- Quality management (test plan, test supervision, testing and analysis report, corrective measures)
- Communication on the project to the teams and solutions users
- Writing documentations/Book of technical charges and the accompanying measures to the implementation (usage policies ...)
- Compliance with project management methodology and production of deliverables for consistent monitoring with the recommendations of the PMO DTIC

Currently the main programs identified as priorities relate to data centres, to monitoring and virtualization.

Key skills and experience required for the activities described above are:
a. The candidate will have a very good knowledge of IT systems in the area of operations.
b. The experience of practices related to large infrastructure is a plus.
c. The candidate should have experience in managing IT infrastructure project and especially in the areas of data centres, virtualization, application deployment, and network monitoring.
d. The candidate must have a good capacity for verbal and written communication, including the ability to talk about solutions in non-technical terms (- extension- )
