Project Manager

SUMMARY:

- Manages the intake, prioritization, and execution of SAP BI and BW and Analytics projects.
- For these projects, the project manager will be responsible for project approach and methodology, effort and resource planning, issue and risk management, and project planning and execution.
- They will also track and manage costs and quality of those projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience
- Monitor execution of project through analysis, design, build, test and release; balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks and issues and report overall performance
- Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations
- Manage project reviews, feasibility, conduct cost/benefit analysis, and handle prioritization, initiation, execution, and closure for all project work related to the program
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations to ensure smooth delivery of the solution
- Understand technology and tool limitations; raise concerns and risks
- Responsible for quality review and project audits
- Manage contracts/Statements of Work/Purchase Orders for the project along with budget

SKILLS:

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Project management experience in a mixed development and deployment (onshore/offshore, vendors) environment - Minimum 4 years, Maximum 8 years
- Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and to specification delivery of projects- Minimum 4 years, Maximum 8 years
- Multiple SAP BI and SAP BW life cycle project experiences - Minimum 4 years, Maximum 8 years
- Ability to manage relationships with internal business customers - Minimum 2 years, Maximum 4 years
- Experienced working within Consumer Goods, Manufacturing or Life Science Industry - Minimum 3 years, Maximum 6 years
- Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple, concurrent IT projects on time and within budget successfully
- Strong project management skills and PMP certified
- Experience leading a mixed (onshore/offshore) project team
- Ability to influence and engage others
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Professional maturity and good business acumen
- Ability to lead internal and external resources through influence
- Strong problem solving skills with ability to see beyond the obvious
