Hertfordshire - 6month contract
A leading financial organisation based in Hertfordshire urgently requires a Project Manager with experience in both an Agile and Waterfall environment.
The purpose of the role:-
To undertake all aspects of project management for the delivery of a work-stream either within a programme or as a standalone project in order to deliver the project objectives within the scope, time, cost and quality constraints of the project or as part of a delivery within a Programme.
The project manager will seek to maximise client satisfaction and where appropriate aim to protect and maximise revenue streams associated with a project in line with product and sales expectations.
Projects up to £2m in value, medium in size, an average risk profile and complexity
The Project Manager will:
*Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including, but not limited to:
Project scope
Project initiation
Project deliverables
Project Risk, Issues, Assumption and Dependencies
Project budget, spend to date and forecast to complete
Project plan and milestones
Project resourcing and conflicts
Project reporting and escalation
*Accountable to the product/sales team for ensuring the estimates for the delivery of a particular project meet the commercial requirements and expectations of the Business Unit and are aligned to the sales strategy for the respective product
*Review and agree deliverables with Product before passing to the client
*Provide input to product owner(s) regarding the roadmap and operating plan
*Prepare for project board reviews and chair checkpoints and quality reviews
*Minimise any commercial or reputational risk on projects as directed by the product owner
*Liaise with external third party suppliers
*Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders
*Ensure a broad understanding of any pertinent contract related to the project assigned and a detailed understanding of the contractual commitments that you have to meet
*To manage and maximise the profitability derived from the implementation of a project change through the delivery lifecycle
*To manage the customer relationship with agreement from the product owner in respect of a particular project from a project delivery perspective
The Project Manager must:
*Have experience in an Agile working environment
*Where appropriate adopt an iterative "necessary & sufficient" approach to delivery to enable incremental benefit/value
*Have a strong Commercial focus on activities that contribute to the performance providing measurable value to the business.
*Accurately estimate and forecast budget and resource demand
*Effectively convey the position in both written and verbal discussions with internal stakeholders and where agreed with product/external clients
*Have a detailed understanding of all contractual obligations and constraints
*Have experience of running projects with a budget of up to £2m
*Have experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and vendors
*Strong understanding of risk management
