Description

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the project management of various independent projects and/or a portfolio of smaller projects across the institution including the set up of a new shared service

Key responsibilities

*Project manages single or multiple projects ensuring delivery to time and quality
*Manages others in a project team and Change Team with support if required to do so
*Design of appropriate project plans
*Creation of Proposals and PIDs
*Identification and management of project risks and issues; escalating where necessary
*Development and management of project budgets
*Stakeholder management including appropriate progress reporting schedule and prepares progress reports
*Establishment of appropriate project governance and supports governance activities.
*Identification of post project implementation support & training
*Manage and co-ordinate the preparation of business requirements and functional specifications, where required.
*Coordinate the design and running of UATs including managing the creation of UAT materials
*3rd party supplier management
*Set up and running of training including managing the creation of training materials

Profile

The successful Project manager must have:

*Experience of Project Management and delivering multiple projects to time & to scale
*Experience managing multiple projects
*Experience of running full life cycle projects
*Experience of working to proven project management methodologies
*Formal education to degree level or equivalent (desirable)
*Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers
*Budget management
*Using appropriate project management tools such has MS Project
*Strong stakeholder management skills
*Strong communications
*Experience of business process review;
*A working knowledge of Microsoft Visio;
*An understanding of higher education structures, concepts and practices

Job Offer

£40,000 - £50,000 + package based on experience
