Eingestellt von National Trust

Gesuchte Skills: Support, Prince2

Projektbeschreibung

About the role

Technology is vital to the National Trust. It plays an important part in everything we do: it enables our people to continue caring for our properties and places, and it helps us to share and grow the nation's love of special places. That's why we're busy carrying out significant IT upgrade programmes across the entire organisation. But it's no simple task, especially if you consider the breadth and variety of our properties. From networks and internet circuits, to desktops and laptops, we want to ensure that all our IT is of a consistent, manageable and good standard. Whether the task is infrastructure, systems implementation or the rollout of tools like email or collaboration applications, we need to ensure that standards are high. And we'd like you to help us.

It'll be down to you to deliver successful, large-scale and often complex IT projects in line with our project lifecycle. You'll take the lead and make sure that, when it comes to IT projects, we're disciplined and proactive, and that we're delivering quality work on time, on budget and to the highest standards. You'll also ensure that we're reporting on progress, resources and budgets regularly - and accurately - to IT Management.

As well as managing the workload, you'll constantly review and audit projects to make sure that we're complying with department and organisational standards and that we're in line with IT and National Trust strategies. Beyond delivery, you'll look to improve the way we work, our processes and systems. You'll also look to increase the professional capabilities of your team, managing and motivating their performance and helping them to grow as individuals.

About you

We'd like you have a track record of successfully managing major, strategic projects - ideally with in a similarly large, complex organisation. Understandably, you'll need extensive practical experience and an impressive, up-to-the-minute knowledge of project management lifecycles, processes, tools and techniques, within a methodology like PRINCE2. Close attention to detail, excellent leadership skills and a finger firmly on the financial pulse ' those things almost go without saying. All this impressive knowledge and experience means that you're able to define a project and put together the appropriate team and resources to deliver the right result. And thanks to clear, confident communication skills, you can explain complex technical matters to non-technical people.

It's about more than just going the extra mile but really believing in it. Every day, everything that you do will help to wow your colleagues and create a truly unforgettable experience for our people.

Incredibly rewarding

Do great things for us and we'll do great things for you and your career. We'll give you all the training, support and continued professional development you need, and we appreciate that work/life balance is important. You can also look forward to free admission to all our incredible places, and a helpful 20% off at our shops, cafes and restaurants. But they're just the benefits we can tell you about here.

About us

We're a charity founded in 1895 by three people who saw the importance of our nation's heritage and open spaces and wanted to preserve them for everyone to enjoy. Over 100 years later these values are still at the heart of everything we do. We want people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy, be inspired by and love the places we look after as much as we do. We want everyone in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to feel like a member of the National Trust and, by 2020, we want to have grown our membership to more than five million.
