Project Manager

Necessary Skills:

Proven record of delivering significant business change projects in a Financial Services environment
Experience managing 3rd party vendor
Experience of multi-disciplinary projects involving people, process and technology change
Knowledge and experience of utilising Project Methodologies and Tools
Excellent communication skills
Negotiation and facilitation skills applied in a project context

Overall Responsibilities:

Drive the definition of the Project Plan - ensuring an agreed plan is in place and milestones are clearly understood by the project team (ownership, dependencies, etc.).
Identify project stakeholders, develop and implement a stakeholder management plan to ensure the project delivery meets client expectations.
Work in co-operation with the Business Owner to co-ordinate and drive overall programme implementation applying Project Management Tools and Methodologies to enable project success.
Ensure that project scope and progress matches business priorities. Take necessary action to address departures from plan and/or scope.
Manage the project budget; update forecasts throughout the project life cycle.
Track and manage Project Issues, Risks and resource plans, regularly refreshing resource forecasts
Track and report on project status, providing regular status updates on Project Portfolio System
Report to Project Steering committee, escalating issues where required and preparing project updates suitable for senior management
