PROJECT MANAGER FOSTER CITY, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

MUST HAVE SKILLS: Project coordination experience required, preferably with payments systems, finance applications. Proven experience in coordinating people, process and project in a heavily matrixed organization structure is required. Knowledge of computer software, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Clarity, SharePoint, etc.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: PMP certification preferred but not mandatory. Deep understanding of client contract management and incentives programs preferred.

This candidate will join the Corporate Systems Project Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams comprised of Systems Analysis, Vendor, Development, QA, Operations and Business personnel.

This position applies accounting principles to a limited range of accounting, budgeting and forecasting functions. This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of and preparation of financial reports. Work may include review of payment coding/invoices and closure of accounting records, complete monthly, quarterly and annual period close process, provide a summary of the budget and forecast information and variance analysis for the portfolio.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, IT or a related field
- PMP certification preferred
- 4+ years of project coordination experience required, preferably with payments systems, finance applications
- Proven experience in planning and organizing large meetings, executive steering committees, working sessions, etc.
- Proven experience in coordinating people, process and project in a heavily matrixed organization structure required
- Demonstrated experience in working with technical teams in the delivery of large scale software development, operational and integration efforts
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration
- Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
- Deep understanding of client contract management and incentives programs preferred
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and functions
- Ability to understand complex systems, and its interfaces
- Well organized, attention to detail, great planning and execution skills
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Clarity, SharePoint, etc.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with ability to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization
- Must sit in Foster City

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Facilitate project status meetings, requirements and design/QA discussions.
- Coordinate project estimating process, manage project budget, forecast, planned vs. actual.
- Support PMs in managing project status report, issues, action items, risks, change log, internal and external dependencies, etc.
- Support PMs in maintaining project schedule, Gantt chart, critical path, etc.
- Create and maintain project presentations, project documentations.
- Maintain Project Work Book (PWB) and project communication plan.
- Update monthly/quarterly forecast.
- Provide variance analysis.
- Perform review and evaluation of PRs/POs.
- Work with Finance and Accounting and/or other departments to resolve problems.
