Project Manager

A market leading provider of Financial Solutions to the Global Markets are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of a bespoke Equities and Exchange Traded Options Settlement solution to one of their global clients. This is an exciting and high profile piece of work, of which is rarely within the Sydney market.

This role is integral to the overall success of the implementation and managing customer liaisons. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for the following:

- Providing overall leadership for the project and focusing on achieving results efficiently
- Client liaison including the development and presentation of project plans, progress reports and acceptance by the client of the final product
- Ensure appropriate allocation and skilling of resources
- Coordinate with offshore teams and offshore PM to ensure Project Progress
- Assist in contract negotiations
- Financial, technical and schedule reporting
- Risk management and problem solving
- Liaison with clients, third parties and suppliers
- The development of project plans, including testing, logistics and in service support
- The production of other project deliverables such as training and documentation

Essential to be a success with the role:

- Proven successful experience in managing complex projects in Banking & Securities environment - ideally related to Back Office Operations and Options Clearing & Settlement
- Proven prior Experience of working with offshore and onshore teams
- Strong Leadership qualities and ability to lead a team of on and offshore resources.
- Demonstrated Contract and general Negotiation Skills Experience
- Self-Motivation & Willingness to shoulder responsibility
- Formal project management degree or Project Management Certification (PMP or ACP)
