Project Manager

I am in the market for an experienced Project Manager for a 6 month contract based in Manchester City Centre.

Employee Self Service/Manager Self Service (ESS/MSS) is a key strategic priority for the Customer I'm working with. It will improve the quality and integrity of our data by allowing managers and employees the ability to update their own employee information and undertake transactional HR processes via SAP.

A project manager is required to work with HR, the shared service centre and other core stakeholders. The project manager will work with the external IT consultants who are writing the programme, ensuring the system is tailored for the client. The successful candidate will work with internal ICT colleagues to manage the testing process, and take the system through to implementation, developing training and communication packages.

The successful candidate will also work with ICT to progress Universal Access. This project will develop e-mail and Intranet facilities for the remaining 2000 employees who do not currently have ICT access.

The ESS/MSS modules consist of the transactional HR functions of:

Booking leave
-

Recording sickness
-

Updating personal details
-

Viewing payslips
-

Claiming and approving expenses
-

Claiming and approving mileage
-

Claiming and approving payment of overtime
-

Resource/asset management

The project manager will ideally have experience with most if not all of the below;

Support the design and delivery of fully completed ESS/MSS modules within SAP,

Experience of writing reports and delivering presentations
-

Roll ESS/MSS out to the organisation on a phased basis, working with the ICT project manager.

Co-ordinate training development and delivery

Develop communications for the roll out.

Project Management skills

HR/OD transactional knowledge

Understanding of ICT systems

Understanding of management processes

Understanding of business requirements

Understanding of ESS/MSS and SAP
-

Previous experience of implementing similar systems would be helpful;

Ability to write and present information to senior management for decision making
