Project Manager

Our Local Authority in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Project Manager.

The Project Manager is required to deliver projects within the County Council's People Group. Specifically, a series of activities are being progressed under our Learning Disabilities programme and require management over the next eight months. Other projects within People Group's Strategic Commissioning Business Unit may also require management during this period. Our client is therefore requires a Prince 2 Practitioner qualified Project Manager to manage a series of projects, which may include Complex Needs Service Review, Deregistration Project, Out of County Placements, Accommodation with Support, and providing support to the Learning Disabilities programme board.

Responsibilities will include

- To manage the successful delivery of projects on time, to budget and of the right quality using Warwickshire's County Council's standard project management methodology.
- Regularly reporting to the project board on all aspects of the project including project progress, risks and issues.
- To provide leadership to project staff, framework partners and consultants. Defining work, ensuring deadlines are understood and adhered to and that project objectives are clearly articulated.
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with the stakeholders and Project and Programme Board Members. Ensure stakeholders are supported and communicated with effectively.

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

- Qualified in Prince2 (Practitioner)
- At least two years' experience of managing successful projects
- Experience of working in Children's Services and/or Adult Social Care
- Experience of monitoring, managing and being accountable for project budgets
