MY CLIENT IS SEEKING A PROJECT MANAGER FOR A SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS, RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IMPLEMENTING SYSTEMS AND EXPERIENCE IMPLEMENTING AGILE METHODOLOGY. AN EDUCATION/TERTIARY BACKGROUND IS HIGHLY REGARDED.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Communicate and report project activities, timelines, risks, issues and status to management team, project delivery teams and stakeholders
- Develop robust and achievable work and project plans, including management of scope, time, quality, resources and project risk and issues
- Lead the program team and all stakeholders in the development of a Cutover Plan
- Manage relationships with vendors and third party suppliers
- Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, including project scope, from project initiation, through planning, execution to project closure
- Monitoring project plans, preparing weekly status reports on deliverables, tasks and resources, following project management methodologies. Identify, monitor and implement controls to mitigate key risks for your project
- Manage relationships with vendors and third party suppliers
- Lead the program team and all stakeholders in the development of a Cutover Plan

YOU WILL HAVE:

- Experience in an educational or tertiary setting
- Experience implementing Agile methodology
- Experience leading and mentoring project team in a Matrix structure. Promoting team collaboration and ensuring operational effectiveness of levelled resources.
- Experience managing risks and issues and leading the team in suggesting mitigation plans, issues recovery exceptions planning
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present communications for stakeholder groups including effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills
