Dell is currently working in conjunction with a Public Sector project based in Cornwall. The project provides an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and tenacious Project Manager or Project Coordinator to join an existing team. Ideally you will be knowledgeable regarding the full project life cycle but more importantly you will display the drive and ambition to deliver on this type of deployment project. You will be working closely with a senior PM who will guide and assist you in mentoring capacity to enable you to achieve the set objectives of the deployment.
Reporting directly to the current Programme Manager on site, you will be required to be involved in the pre deployment and deployment phase of this Windows 7 deployment project.
THE ROLE
Your role will encompass the management and delivery of end to end Deployment ensuring all elements are rolled out smoothly, to this end you will engage with the business to fully understand the requirements, developing effective relationships and on-going management, while also defining deliverables, resource requirements and managing the development and delivery.
Responsibilities will also include the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of the deployment, working with various business people and technical teams across all levels. The Project Manager will report on progress, risk and issues, plans and other metrics as required by program colleagues. The Project Manager works closely with stakeholders within the client ensuring scope, P&L and reporting needs are met.

Benefits Realisation in conjunction with the relevant area the PM is delivering to
Liaise with programme team to ensure work is neither overlooked nor duplicated by related projects
Lead and motivate the project management team
Ensure that behavioural expectations of team members are established
Manage the information flows between the directing and delivering levels of the project
Manage the production of the required products, taking responsibility for overall progress and use of the resources and initiating corrective action where necessary
Advise of deviations from the plan to senior management
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Be a successful Project Manager with Prince 2 Practitioner and/or PMP certified
Be an experienced Project Coordinator with previous Windows 7 deployment experience although attitude and tenacity is more valuable than experience alone
Have 18months of experience, preferably in a similar Public Sector deployment role.
