Project Manager

Our client is the world's leading software corporation seeking a non-technical Project Manager for a great contract opportunity. This candidate will manage medium size projects pertaining to the development and implementation of Enterprise, General Business and/or Field Office product or general business programs. This position requires interaction with internal stakeholders including customer facing teams and internal development and implementation teams. S/He will be responsible for supporting 3rd party vendor relationships to ensure that project business requirements are met.

Issue/Inquiry Management and Resolution:

- Serve as the Operations point of contact for OEM Field Sales team to handle important and critical Operations issues affecting specified OEMs.
- Manage customer impacting Operations issues that are raised to the Channel Management team via Sales Account Managers.
- Ask questions and quickly understand the issue, develop a plan to analyze and resolve the issues, reach out and work with Operations to execute the plan, and proactively communicate with all parties on the progress of the issue.
- Lead the work efforts of Operations to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Drive activity without positional authority, and know when to seek assistance from management when facing resistance or lack of progress.
- Program Readiness: Draft communications and lead meetings with the team to ensure account managers are aware of and communicate to their OEMs key Operations details associated with upcoming major product launches and other programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- 2-4 years of project management experience
- Bachelor's degree required, PMI Certification desired
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Knowledge/background in software industry products/services/applications
- OEM relationship management experience required
- Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills
- Ability to foresee and analyze project risks and develop risk management plan
- High-powered analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills

This contract position is expected to be 4 months in duration.
