Project Manager

Yoh has a three (3) year contract opportunity for a PROJECT MANAGER (WITH STATE AGENCY EXPERIENCE) to join our client located in Sacramento, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and/or programs into a finished state.
- Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets.
- Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customers or department personnel.
- Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, such as systems analysts and programmers, providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives.
- Directs the activities of project support staff and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project.
- Ensures the ongoing process/system capability associated with projects and manages any changes required to meet or exceed the expectations established in project designs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years of Project Management experience, including managing technical projects for the State of California.
- Two (2+) years of demonstrated Project Management experience scheduling change management and/or work authorization changes on an IT project in excess of ten (10) million dollars for State Agencies.
- Three (3+) years of demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project 2007 or later version to plan, develop, maintain, and report on highly complex integrated master schedules and work plans for an IT project in excess of ten (10) million dollars.
- Three (3+) years of demonstrated experience managing highly complex integrated master schedules and work plans using industry best practices and standards (eg, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Project Management Body of Knowledge, and/or Software Engineering Institute).
- Two (2+) years of demonstrated experience with integrated and very detailed work plans, utilizing sophisticated technology tools (ie, Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other best practices project management techniques) to incorporate different levels of progress in customized reports.
- Twp (2+) years of demonstrated experience facilitating discussions with stakeholders for data gathering and work plan development.
- Strong experience in Knowledge Transfer, Lessons Learned and Closing out Projects.
