Project Manager

The Field Ops Toolbox - Permit to Work Deployment lead is responsible for delivering central services to the regional/Operating Unit (OU). Purpose is to deploy the Permit to Work solution, that deliver the envisioned business benefits. Reporting into the Field Operations Toolbox Program manager.

Responsibilities include:
Support the Permit to Work program demand development and - management by providing communication on the Permit to Work solution and deployments approach to regions and OU's
Support project initiation and set up of deployments in the various OUs, working closely with central- and local business plus central- and local IT.

Delivery of the deployment projects in agreed regions/OUs through local IT PMs and projects:
o Guiding and directing local PMs during project start up (pre-requisites, charter, on boarding resources, budget, PCP)
o Guiding and directing local PMs in day to day project delivery, resulting in Embedded deployments.
o Facilitate the "4 party meetings" for OU's and regions in scope as communication channel for deployments

Guard quality of deployment delivery, ensure compliance to the overall Permit to Work Global principles and compliance rules (PDF, IRM, PRT, other "big rules")
Input to Central Programme Status Reporting and Finance management, participate in managing Programme risks and issues.

Skills and Experiences
7+ years broad IT Project Management experience covering all stages of project life cycle with a proven track record. Professional accreditation (PMP, Prince II)
Of which 3+ years IT Project management or change management experience in deploying new information technology in the business
Preference for 2+ years relevant Shell IT experience and good working knowledge of Shell IT practices (PDF, policies, standards)
Can work in multi stakeholder environment and has strong skills in building relationships and 'influencing without power' to business leaders and IT leaders
Strong skills and experience in a multi-cultural/virtual working environment
Strong in communicating objectives and desired deliverables from Shell- or external teams (vendor, support, infrastructure, architects, business, developers)
Basic understanding of the relevant Operational Integrity business processes and value levers are beneficial

Deliverables
Delivery of the agreed number of Embedded deployments as per the program delivery plan
Input into deployment roadmap and manage the delivery of that roadmap for a specific OU or region
'Contracted' scope of work for the 'central' project resources (PDF deliverables, configurations, advise,..)
Issues resolved and risks mitigated
Cost tracking sheet for central deployment activities for an OU or region in scope
Define and implement continuous improvements regarding deployment approach
