Job description: 
This position will be responsible for all aspects of major construction and remodel projects, internalization initiatives and process improvement projects, from beginning plans to final completion. Ensures each project meets specifications including schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments. Develops assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Organizes and directs construction personnel. The Project Manager will work with operational leaders to manage multidisciplinary teams to improve or implement services throughout the region. 

Essential Functions: 
- Plan, manage, coordinate and influence operation's activities necessary to complete projects in collaboration with management and physician leadership. 
- This work is accomplished through the coordination of regional multidisciplinary teams that are charged to improve member satisfaction, reduce costs, increase quality and/or drive membership. 
- In collaboration with the Site Coordinator, the area administrator, the Facilities Project Manager, Technology Project Manager and the Facilities Equipment planner, monitor and evaluate change request, including the quality, service, cost, and schedule implications. 
- Present and recommend actions to be taken to the existing governing body for that work. 
- In collaboration with the Site Coordinator, the area administrator, the Facilities Medical Project Manager, Technology Project Manager and the Facilities Equipment planner, create business cases for requested process improvements, capital projects and internalization initiatives, including the quality, service, cost and schedule implications. 
- Present and recommend the business case to the appropriate governing body. 
- Plan and maintain excellent coordination and communication between the construction team, the administrative team, the physician leadership and other key stakeholders. 
- This includes the creation and communication of project status reports. 
- Oversee activities of project coordinators and others assigned to help with various initiatives. 

Experience Level: BA or BS required plus minimum 4+ years of direct relevant experience. 

Basic Qualifications: 
- Five (5) years of project management, business consulting, or process improvement experience. 
- Formal project management training or comparable experience. 
- Undergraduate degree in business, systems, health care professions
- Manage complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity. 
- Manage project budget, and/or manage moderately large projects. 
- Demonstrated success in managing several projects at once with highly favorable outcomes. 
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communications, conflict resolution and leadership. 
- Working knowledge of financial management and budgeting process. 
- Personal influence and credibility. 
- Able to interpret architectural drawings and understand construction documents. 
- Self-directed. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
- Three (3) years of operational management experience. 
- Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with multi-million dollar projects 
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering or related field. 
- Registered Nurse. 
- Project management certification. 
- Six Sigma, Lean Master Green belt certification. 
- Six Sigma, Lean Master Black belt certification. 

Will this position report to a Medical Facility? Yes. Health screen REQUIRED. 

Scope of the project: We have a number of initiatives at Sunnyside. Bottom line - there are a lot of process improvement and PM activities. An example would be an internalization of a new service.
