Yoh has a contract opportunity for a PROJECT MANAGER to join our client in Herndon, VA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

An IT Program Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct activities of Programs (ie: Multiple Projects around a common Business Vision, Strategy, or Goal) ensuring on-time, within budget delivery of goals, objectives, and customer expectations. This program management role is within an automotive Information Technology department which is responsible for all IT related activities in incentives, auditing, governance, order management, delivery, sales, after sales, parts, service and quality, accounting, customs, tax, travel, HR, legal, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The individual will be responsible to ensure that Program results meet customer expectations.
- Create and execute an overall Program plan, including major Program synchronization of scheduling, dependencies, milestones, tracking variances, resource leveling across the projects in the Program.
- Manage cost, schedule, scope control, change management and performance across the Program.
- Monitor Program activities; ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity across the Program using standard processes, best practices, and strategies.
- Manage the preparation, authorization reporting, and fulfillment of changes to the Program
- Assess customer requirements; analyze business events and data; evaluates possible solutions; and presents recommendations to management
- Provide daily direction of Project Managers responsible for project delivery within the Program and promote a cooperative environment.
- Maintain effective relationships and communication with customers, Project Managers, and suppliers as appropriate.
- Establish and execute a communication plan for the Program including program level status reporting, financial reporting and reconciliation, and other project reports including a Program lessons learned at the close of the Program.
- Identification and recommendation of training needs across the Program.
- Identify, monitor and respond to Program risks and issues.
- Keeping current on internal and external professional development/trends within functional area and relate them to area of responsibility.
- Maintains the master program schedule, synchronizing activities of all work streams. Coordinates the resolution of schedule conflicts.
- In cooperation with business colleagues, tracks and executes progress against training and change management strategies.
- Leads activities to plan, test, and execute a successful program launch checklist.
- Manages end-to-end QA testing of all systems within the program.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Project Management
- PMP required
- Five (5) years of IT project experience utilizing structured methods within the Systems Life Cycle
- Two to four (2-4) years of Project Management experience
- Two to four (2-4) years of progressive experience either leading or "hands on" with projects supporting Forecasting and Planning processes and using
- Two to four (2-4) years of progressive experience on Forecasting/Planning projects supported by specialist toolsets such as Hyperion Planning/Essbase
