Project Manager

- FIVE MONTH CONTRACT WITH VIEW TO EXTEND

My client is a large government organization seeking a Project Manager for a five month contract with a view to extend. PRINCE2 AND ITIL V3/2011 CERTIFICATION ARE MANDATORY. Microsoft Project experience is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Undertaking project management activities using the Project Management Framework based on PRINCE2, in the context of the organisation's broader strategic objectives
- Be responsible for end-to-end management including project initiation planning and project delivery
- Identifying business benefits and prepare business cases and budgets
- Create and update Project Plan, Stage Plan and manage the project and stage progress
- Consolidate and prepare reports to the Project Board
- Prepare the Risk Management Strategy and manage project risks and mitigation activities
- Prepare the Quality Management Strategy and manage the delivery of the products within the established quality specifications
- Liaise with Project Stakeholders to plan and coordinate activities between technical staff, system users, end user organizations, software integrators, system administrators, and other project stakeholders

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant experience managing projects to align IT service management processes to ITIL
- At least 3 years experience managing IT Service Management Suite Implementation projects
- At least 2 years experience managing projects using PRINCE2
- Experience in delivering multiple projects concurrently in a customer/supplier environment
- Excellent communication and written skills essential
- Experience managing ICT vendors
- Strong customer satisfaction focus and proven experience in delivering excellent solutions
