Project Manager

Immediate position located in central CT for a Manufacturting Project Supervisor / Lean Coodinator. This position could be direct or temp to direct. Company with over 45 years of history is seeking the right individual to review, process, participate in and direct design of new incoming projects. This person will coordinate new tool planning with production planning also assist in production scheduling and coordinate necessary actions to keep projects on schedule. Must have a minimum of a 2 years technical degree with manufacturing environment experience and metal forming coupled with supervisory experience. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Directly receive all new tool job quotes, utilizing existing/improved system in advising changes as well as coordinating lead-time with production planning
- Follow daily progress of all new tool projects and reporting failures to meet schedules daily
- Coordinate new tools resources by assisting production planning
- Directly receive all new job POs for processing, complete all new tool tracking sheets, confirm lead time to sales through coordination with production planning, follow job progress and take actions to remain on schedule

REQUIREMENTS

- Min of a 2 year technical degree and 4 year preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely managing teams, lean training, six-sigma (green belt or higher)
- Manufacturing environment experience, deep draw preferred
- Must have engineering experience with metal forming
- Team building and Supervisor experience is a must
- Must have strong level of computer skills including CAD, data base, and Microsoft products.
