The role

My client is looking to recruit a project Manager, degree educated who is ready to hit the ground running in an exciting new vacancy.

This role sits within the Regulation department, part of a 12 strong team responsible for both Regulation and the Asset Management Improvement Programme (AMIP).

The AMIP aims to provide greater visibility and transparency of the Company's decision making processes including the optimisation of investment, strengthening the visibility of links to risk and Cost Benefit Analysis all through the formalisation and improvement of existing asset management processes. For you, that will mean working on everything from data improvement projects to asset model development.

Although you won't be expected to originate projects from day one, you will have to hit the ground running. From the outset, you'll be working with departmental heads and technical staff, managing communication between departments and creating progress reports for key stakeholders including the AMIP board and project sponsors.

So there are strategic aspects along with lots of attention-to-detail work, which makes this a great role if you want to both broaden and beef up your project management experience.

The right person

We are looking for someone with a technical or engineering background and solid Project Manager or Asset Manager experience. A degree is essential and Prince 2 or PAS55 experience would be a distinct advantage. You could be working in either the public or private sectors. What matters most is that you've driven projects involving various teams throughout an organisation - right up to senior management level.

In terms of personality and professional style, you'll be a real self-starter who can hit the ground running and can get the results needed while maintaining a positive working relationship with everyone concerned.
