NHS Project Manager/ Health Project Manager wanted.

Skills needed: Prince2, change management, NHS Project Manager/ Health Project Manager experience.

My County Durham based client is looking for a Project Manager to help set up a Commissioning Service (Health client).

The NHS Project Manager/ Health Project Manager role:

Support and deliver organisational projects that will modernise and introduce new
ways of working.
-Support delivery of national strategy through project delivery
-Support the delivery of a whole system approach.
-Take ownership for the production of all required PRINCE 2 documentation.
-Directly manage, through all stages, specific projects from the national strategy including "NPfIT" and specific projects.
-Develop project plans and budgets, and subsequently monitor the implementation of projects vs. plan and budget, ensuring objectives are met to timescale, budget and quality standards, and generally to the satisfaction of management and executive project boards.
-Liaison with, and performance management of, various system suppliers utilized as part of various projects.
-Line management of project team throughout the project lifecycle.
-Provide regular progress reports to management, and when required to the Strategic Health Authority and National Performance Monitoring.
-Present formal presentations to all members of the trust up to senior management level.

Skills needed for the NHS Project Manager/ Health Project Manager role:

-Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies
-Substantial experience within the NHS or a Health organisation.
-Ability to manage multiple complex projects to a successful conclusion, using a structured method such as PRINCE 2
-Substantial experience of budget management
-Knowledge of Change Management processes and techniques
-Excellent understanding of Information Technology
-Proven ability to manage suppliers
-Ability to work flexibly in a changeable project environment where priority and workload may vary depending on a projects status
-Ability to forge long-term working partnerships with individuals and groups from internal and external departments and organisations
-Ability to write clear concise reports, letters, minutes and documents using a good standard of English
