Project Manager

Customer facing Project Manager required for rolling 3 month contract in Liverpool.

The Project Manager should have previous experience of working in a customer facing environment, of working to fairly short project lead times (3 weeks up to 4 months) and of working in a demanding / challenging role. The position will pay £30 an hour.

Managing multiple projects at any one time (6 - 9) of varying size, stage & complexity, the Project Manager should have experience of managing project budgets, ranging from £25,000 up to £multi-million and have experience of working / contending with external factors (I.e. customers changing project delivery dates etc).

The Project Manager must be an individual who will take ownership of their project and work with the customer to ensure that the projects are delivered to agreed time, cost & quality.

This role requires someone who can actively realise when a project is falling behind schedule / deadline can take stock of the situation and then do what is necessary to bring the project back on track.

In addition, the Project Manager should be able to comprehend what any delay on a project will entail to the customer and needs to be aware of the "bigger picture" to the customer that a delay in delivery could have.

This isn't simply a "Project Manager" role - It requires someone who can motivate staff within the project team and drive projects forward, not merely facilitate the project lifecycle and needs someone who is confident, articulate and effective communicator, who can work with stakeholders on both an internal & external basis to influence & motivate people and drive projects forward.

It would be beneficial if you have some sales experience as our client would very much like for you to get involved in winning new business.

The Project Manager's main duties will be:
* Managing the successful delivery of customer orders allocated to you therefore ensuring customer satisfaction
* Carrying out risk management and change management as required
* Supporting invoicing and revenue recognition processes as required
* Issuing progress reports as required
* Support the sales department in winning work
* Supporting your projects leader as required
* Supporting the sharing of resources and customer orders across customer groups
* Following TOs' business processes
* Interfacing with Operations to ensure timely delivery of customer order information to the central / local supply chain functions

Some travel may be required with the Project Manager roles, dependant upon customer & project requirements.
