Project Manager

Client involved in High Voltage T&D & Substation EPC projects is looking for an Assistant Project Manager with 2-8 years of engineering and/or construction experience related to transmission line (T-Line), Substation, or power plant EPC projects. You need a BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management. Our client prefers candidates that are local to the Lewiston/Portland, ME area. This position does not offer per diem.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the procurement and project management of high voltage T-Line engineering & construction projects
- Assist the PM in the estimating, procurement, and management of equipment and negotiation of labor contracts for T-Line EPC projects
- Assist the PM with the oversight of EPC projects
- Develop and maintain effective vendor and client relationships
- Work in the office 90% and the field 10% of the time

REQUIREMENTS

- BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or possibly Construction Management
- 2-8 years of civil or structural engineering and/or construction experience related to T-Line, Substation, or power plant EPC projects
- Specific experience related to Civil or Structural Engineering or Construction areas on T-Line projects would be ideal
- Ability to bid and manage equipment and labor contracts
- Experience working for a consulting engineering firm would be a plus
