Project Management Support Engineer Job

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT ENGINEER needed for a SIX (6) MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Erie, PA. It is possible that this assignment will be extended into 2015.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Investigate, devise solution, and drive implementation of reliability issues on the locomotive. This will include, but not be limited to, development of concept and detailed designs for locomotive cab structure and packaging.
- Support projects led by the Sourcing team that involve dual sourcing and cost reduction. Will include, but not be limited to, reviewing proposed vendor, NCI execution, drawing updates as required.
- Both reliability project execution and sourcing support will involve, but not be limited to:
- Coordinate with other engineering sub-system teams, systems engineering and manufacturing team in Erie, PA
- Complete design work and design analysis as required to meet design goals.
- Write drawing change orders and interface with the drafting team for layouts, detail design, drawings and change implementation.
- Review and approve designs developed by designers & 2-D detailed drawings completed by drafting.
- Follow the processes such as Design Review TG steps, Reliability TG, NCI, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication skills.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE: QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ABET or equivalent accredited program
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in engineering position
- prefer project management experience in a manufacturing environment
