Project Management Support - Abbey Wood, Bristol - 11month contract

The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Protection Delivery Team (DT) provides a wide range of CBRN protection capabilities to Defence. The team is "through-life", looking after delivery and support of equipment.

Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the development and validation of the AP schedule and associated schedule risks, working closely with PM30 and DSTL to plan and scope the TDP.
Develop Work Breakdown Structures, critical path dependencies, resource planning, risk/assumption management and schedule risk analysis.
Assist in the development of the cost model which includes evaluating cost drivers, programme risks and uncertainty impacting the cost data assumptions for equipment acquisition and in-service support.
Support PM30 to gather and produce the approvals and assurance evidence required for IG in accordance with JSP 655.
The individual will be expected to assist with the production of a technical marking scheme for any AP competitions for technical support which includes the TDP.
Support PM30 & PM31 with project admin tasks including preparing slides for Project Boards, minute taking, ensuring project documentation remains up to date and upkeep of MOSS sites.

Personal Specification:
Proven background in both producing a schedule from scratch and of validating existing schedules and an understanding of good planning practise.
Competence in using MS Project, Active Risk Manager, Predict and 3PE.
Risk based cost and schedule forecasting, three point estimating and Monte Carlo simulation, assessing value for money and affordability.
Previous experience of successfully delivering a CAT C project through Initial Gate/Main Gate and a good understanding of the assurance and approvals process.

Experience in the development of cost models (ISTAR model preferably) and development of investment appraisals in support of initial gate options.
Experience of writing statement of works and technical marking scheme for technical assessment phase support.
Technical background in NBC materials or defence clothing.
Experience of TDP planning.
Systems engineering would be beneficial to this role.
EPM2010, ARM, PREDICT, MoR, APMP, APMP PQ (desirable), Systems Eng.
