Project Management Officer (PMO) - Banking, Brussels

BACKGROUND: My client is a Brussels based international bank; they are looking for a Project Management Officer (PMO). You will join the Portfolio and Project Office whose objective is to provide support to Project Leaders, to provide analysis to various stakeholders, to support budget management and coordinate the quarterly forecast exercises.

TASKS:
* As PMO/PSO, you will help with various administrative tasks linked to the management and reporting of projects and operational activities:
* Provide support and some training in using project management tools (process flows, best practices, etc);
* Monitor the quality of project booking data;
* Report on project booking data;
* Improve the data collection and monitoring processes where appropriate;
* Perform analyses and carry out controls on all data;
* Run reports, Key Performance Indicators and performance measures;
* Act as service desk incident manager.

SKILLS:

- Background as a data analyst, IT, financial or accountant;
- You have the ability to analyze large amounts of data;
- Extensive use of PC applications: Excel (VBA) and Access;
- Good knowledge of the structured query language (SQL), ideally applied to

MS-Access or SQL Server databases.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: Project planning experience in PSN or Microsoft Project (MSP).

The role would suit a mid-level Project Manager (ie. this is not a Senior role), with perhaps 3-5 years experience in developing and automating reports based on complex databases.
