Project Management Analyst

Summary: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities for any other non-IT based project.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
- Previous project management experience required.

Skills and Competencies:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
-  Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

JOB PURPOSE:
1. Maintain/Update/Review NPI project schedules in Primavera Project Planning (P6) software. Perform weekly updates and analysis to determine what activities need focus using Critical Path Methodology. Prepare presentation for review with NPI Mgr. and larger team.
2. Facilitate Control meetings with project managers and their teams to revise and compress schedules in Primavera.
3. Work with NPI Program Mgr. to assist with occasional NPI-related activities such as:
- Running system reports utilizing web-based tools and MS Excel to determine material availability
- Using engineering drawing and modelling systems to determine parts required for certain tasks
- Meet to review build progress on shop floor, and update spreadsheets to track progress for presentation to management
- Communicate with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to coordinate shipment of material
- Work with manufacturing engineers during prototype and pilot builds to assist with production schedules

Additional Training and PM Support will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS (Must Have's)
- Project Management experience with minimum 1 year experience in a project planning role using Critical Path Methodology (CPM) with a Project Scheduling Software Tool (eg, Primavera, MS Project)
- Professional Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical Field (IT, Engineering)
- Primavera experience
- Project Meeting Facilitation in corporate environment.
- Product Development, Operations, 6-Sigma, - etc.
- Project cost management experience - Resource loading/portfolio resource management experience

NICE TO HAVE/BONUS
- Primavera Database Administration
- Project Management Professional (PMPA or CAPM A Certification
- MS Project experience
- Java/SQL Programming &/or Macro Development Experience
