Project Manager required for project involving MIGRATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF GLOBAL NETWORK.

Required Qualification of Freelancer: 

6+ years experience working within a large IT environment preferably within a FINANCIAL organization

Strong functional knowledge of IT AND OUTSOURCING activities

Profound multi-project management experience

Manages workload in a well-planned and organized manner and provides clear directions for required activities

Cool under pressure and a settling influence in a crisis

Team-oriented, collaborative environment leadership skills, INTERNATIONAL WORKING EXPERIENCE

Language Skills: English/fluent

Project Description: 

Client is a multi-national service provider in the financial sector, looking for a Migration and Implementation Manager in the context of rolling out its Global Network Solution to international entities. Client is expanding a new network design and consolidates the global supplier of network infrastructure and services. Client aims at significant savings and better performance. The network is rolled out globally in different waves across organizational entities

Project Tasks of Freelancer: 

The PM has to plan and coordinate the global network migration and implementation with the client's organizational entities in the USA, often managing 10 to 15 projects at the same time.

PM is accountable for the end-to-end management of the project for the US, including the setup in the overall rollout phase, rollout preparation and rollout of the infrastructure at the entity, as well as the handover to the client.

Interfaces with: organizational entities, global  rollout team, carriers/suppliers

Reports to: Client Program Lead and CIO of the respective organizational entities

Further:

Be central gateway for communication with organizational entities

Manage the project from setup including base lining, business case signoff and project setup through rollout preparation and rollout (includes client handover)

Prepare & maintain the project plan, align with local client stakeholders as well as global teams

Manage project, including steering committee meetings, risk and issue management, escalation management, reporting, commercials, etc.

Manage communication to local Project Team, infrastructure responsible and local CIO, and activities/input for works council

Ensure that project is completed in time, in scope and in budget

This is an existing project at different locations in the USA (freelancer is ideally based in California or near Minneapolis, MN)
