PROJECT LEAD - WAN ROLL OUT

Based in Oslo, Norway
We are currently recruiting a Project Lead to transform their global Wide Area Network Service for a global Norwegian firm specializing in agricultural products. Our client is looking to hire a Project Leas to deliver a project that has been started to implement a range of connectivity services to fulfil the business objectives, by replacing current connectivity services and introducing new/innovative network solutions to End Users. Besides implementing the technical network solutions, the project will ensure process integration by implementing integration between service management tools of different vendors in the IT Value Chain.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Project Lead for WAN Roll-Out will be responsible for implementing new Wide Area Network solutions to approx. 120 sites within our customers regions, excluding Latin America. The Project Lead will plan and execute all activities required to successfully roll-out the new solution to each site, in conjunction with the network vendor, customers IT and 3rd parties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, manage, coordinate and execute WAN roll-out activities in the regions, working with our customers staff and 3rd parties
- Plan implementation of individual sites with Vendors, regional IT managers and IT support staff by preparing efficient work packages
- Ensure resources are identified, planned and committed for migration activities
- Ensure suitable communication, in cooperation with the customers Global Service Desk
- Execute migrations in an efficient and effective manner, working with a small team of coordinators, following predefined site implementation plans (run books)
- Coordinate Cut Over activities in cooperation with vendors, our customer and 3rd Parties
- Obtain Change Management Approvals for executing migrations
- Ensure all operational and technical prerequisites for migrations are fulfilled and acceptance criteria are met
REQUIREMENTS
- Experienced project lead, capable of coordinating complex processes and activities
- Experience with leading Wide Area Network implementation project
- Fluent in English
