Project Lead Remote Access

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The customer is undertaking an initiative to transform their global Wide Area Network Service. A project has been started to implement a range of connectivity services to fulfil the business objectives, by replacing current connectivity services and introducing new/innovative network solutions to End Users. Besides implementing the technical network solutions, the project will ensure process integration by implementing integration between service management tools of different vendors in the IT Value Chain.

As part of this project, there will be new solutions introduced to support remote access through VPN clients, as well as solutions to allow partners to access the environment, through Site-to-Site VPN.

Role description

The Project Lead Remote Access will be responsible for implementing solutions for Remote Access VPN and Site-to-Site VPN, in conjunction with the main network vendor and 3rd parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, manage and coordinate activities related to Remote Access Solutions, consisting of:

Technical integration and Introduction of Remote Access Client VPN solution, including strong authentication

Roll-out of the VPN clients to end users
-

Roll-out of the VPN clients to selected partners
-

Migration of existing Site-to-Site VPNs to selected partners
-

Decommissioning of Legacy solutions

Act as primary contact for all VPN Security work and coordinate all activities closely with vendors for network and workplace services, regional IT managers and IT support staff

Prepare all documentation, according standard project management practices

Ensure suitable communication, in cooperation with the Global Service Desk

Check correctness and completeness of technical implementation and planning, in cooperation with Integration Architect

Introduce the new services to community, in cooperation with Service Introduction coordinator

Track acceptance criteria and arrange sign-off

MANDATORY FIELDS

- Experienced technical project lead, with proven experience in network implementation projects Strong knowledge on network topologies and network migrations
- Experience with roll-out of VPN solutions, both VPN clients as Site to Site VPNs.
- Fluent in English

Proven Technical Project Lead with focus on detail

Capable to set up and manage challenging integration and rollout activities, on a tight schedule, while working with different Yara departments and vendors

Good knowledge on VPN technologies and potential constraints

Relevant Infrastructure knowledge, experience with Networks and Service Providers is preferred

Certification in Project Management method is preferred

Excellent in verbal and written communication (reporting, documentation)

Pro-active and pragmatic personality

Result oriented

Experienced technical project lead, with proven experience in network implementation projects

Experience with roll-out of VPN solutions, both VPN clients as Site to Site VPNs. Experience with implementation of Cisco Anyconnect (VPN Clients), Fortinet Fortigate (Site to Site VPN) and RSA (Strong Authentication) is preferred.
