GATEWAY PROJECT LEADER - Inital 6-12months but could go on for 18months
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The R&D departments are tasked with delivering the products and solutions defined by the Product Management team (SSPM) for both customer and innovative projects within the Connected Home Business Unit. This role is tasked to deliver gateway hardware and/or software projects for which the Edegem site specializes on a global scale.
My client is looking to strengthen its project management team and building on its industry strengths and expertise. For this project we are looking for a Project Lead for a temporary assignment of 6 to 12 months. The project lead will be responsible to validate the different architectural options, perform different feasability studies, refine and finalize the product concepts and start all needed activities to bring the project towards delivery meeting customer requirements and timelines.
As a project lead, you will
Review the current HW concept with relevant stakeholders within R&D (RF, antenna, HW architecture, SW architecture, )
Review the SW requirements and work with development teams to deliver their respective modules (Core Middleware, Wi-FI, DSL, LTE)
Set-up a detailed plan for delivery of the product (both hardware and software)
document the findings/draw conclusion relevant for the project follow-up
refine the final product together with a Technicolor core team and provide the needed input so Technicolor management can make a well-informed decision on the next steps in the projects (including effort estimations and a detailed planning)
Education: Master degree in Computer Science or similar by experience
Experience:
Project Management experience, PMP or Prince 2 is a plus
Embedded product development
End to end product integration and delivery
Connectivity technologies
HW product development
Proven leadership positions
Agile and waterfall methodologies
Recommended Technical knowledge:
Embedded software integration
Connectivity technologies (eg Wifi, LTE, DSL)
Network transport layer technologies (ETH, IP, UDP, TCP, NAT, L2TP, )
Network applications (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, CWMP, )
Supplier management
Language:
English is mandatory
Dutch is a plus
Key competences:
Good interpersonal and communication skills and a preference to work in a collaborative environment. Willing to discuss and defend ideas.
