Project Financial Accountant

Project Financial Accountant wanted for a leading international mining group, headquartered in the UK. The role offers £325 per day.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Full ownership of the audit and statutory accounts process for a number of entities.
- Prepare UK GAAP statutory accounts using the software Caseware, ensuring integrity of the numbers and disclosures and bringing accounts to final review and sign off stage.
- Documentation of clear audit trail on all adjustments made on Caseware between the TB and statutory accounts.
- Corroborate statutory information for the accounts from the company's database (internal Servers, board minutes, contracts, past financial statements.
- Update mapping of the financial statements for the purpose of iXBRL tagging.
- Assist the accounting teams to prepare the audit files for the auditors, including performing reconciliations and substantiating the numbers of the profit & loss and balance sheet.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:

- Relevant accountancy qualification (eg ACA, ACCA) and audit experience from a top 10 accountancy practice.
- Some experience in a large multinational is desirable.
- Strong statutory accounts preparation.
- Strong up-to-date technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP
- SAP experience will be an advantage and Caseware (or similar stats accounts preparation software) experience is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
