Project Engineer - Renewables - Glasgow

I am currently recruiting for a major Client that is looking to hire an experienced Project Engineer for there Renewables and Generation business. The client are a huge name in the power industry and require the candidate to be based in their offices near Glasgow with occasional Site visits. The is for an initial 3 month contract with a likelihood of extension of up to 2 years. Accountabilities * Project technical management * Contractors management * Project risk management and control * Effectively monitor project delivery Duration - 3 months with possible extension. Skills, Knowledge & Experience * Engineering degree qualified or equivalent experience * Experience in contracting and managing fire detection and protection turn-key contracts * Experience in managing contractors * Communication skills * Understanding of and able to implement quality assurance processes * Health, safety and environmental legislation applicable to projects * PC knowledge including Microsoft application * Proven ability to lead and work in a team environment * CDM training * The ability to plan and prioritise conflicting requirements and meet challenging deadlines Essential Skills * Qualified and previous experience in Contractor & subcontractor management * Strong management, influencing and interpersonal skill, with proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels * Experience in fire detection and protection turn-key projects If you are interested in this role then please do not hesitate to forward the latest copy of your CV.
