Rate - 550 - 600 per day
Duration - initial 3 - 6 months (view to be ongoing)
Location - Birmingham

We are looking for someone who gain a Project Engineering Authority to Work and will operate effectively in that role. Must be able to make an immediate impact on a pressured portfolio additionally they will have:
A passion for innovation, sharing best practice, sustainability and a personal drive for improving the safety of the rail industry is critical. Personal skills will create inclusive working environments with designers and contractors and challenge the conventional mechanisms of delivery. Confidence will be established by focusing on the NR remit and objectives to release the supply chain to delivery projects with trust and cooperation. A mark of success with be projects delivered safely on time with a profit

Expertise as a Project Engineer will enable them to implement systems and procedures to maintain a cost effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to relevant projects. Their experience will enable them to liaise with regulators and others as appropriate. A key part of this role will be to monitor specific projects managed by Infrastructure Investment so that they are engineered to the standards and specifications. They must have an ability to manage all engineering activities so that they result in schemes that are affordable and meet programme requirements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
The successful candidate will monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors, providing project management advice in respect of all construction activities, including testing and commissioning and site supervision. You will have the ability to manage elements of relevant projects to meet the requirements of current legislation, including construction design management regulations. An ability to arrange an audit of contractors will be required to monitor safety, environment and quality of design, construction and testing.
