Project Engineer (Manufacture) Blackburn

The Role:

Purpose:

Project management & production support ensuring efficiency improvement of all plant and equipment. Introduction of new capital equipment ensuring process capability. Management & control of company health, safety & environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Manage a number of projects simultaneously involving various suppliers & sub contractors to ensure on time delivery to cost & specification

Problem solving day to day production issues

Reduce / prevent hazards, dangers and accidents

Co-ordinate the work & activities of the HS&E department representatives by managing risk assessments, inspections, conducting drills, investigating accident / incidents and maintaining records

Leading of improvement teams to ensure effective specifications are developed

Effective project handover to production & maintenance including training & assessment of performance against justification

Manufacturing cell improvements & layout re-locations

Project justification leading to capital spend authorization

Creation of standard operating procedures and Health & Safety risk assessments for new equipment.

Working on multiple projects at any one time, the Project Manager / Engineer should be an articulate and effective communicator, capable of working with stakeholders at all levels.

For the successful Project Engineer / Manager, a salary up to £40,000 is on offer.
