Project Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER

A major manufacturing company in Edinburgh is looking for a Project Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month basis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Lengthy experience as a Project Engineer
- Strong understanding of construction/engineering industries
- Proven ability to retrieve, record and present project information including supporting reports and metrics
- Strong scheduling skills including risk management
- Proficiency with MS Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Experience working on high value, large scale construction projects would be highly advantageous
- Offshore, marine or defence experience
- Understanding of earned value management would be ideal

DAY TO DAY ROLE:

As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overall support of the project, assuming responsibility for creating and maintaining project documentation as well as developing and maintaining project plans. You will be responsible for challenging proposed changes to, and identify potential problems with, project plans as well as advising on likely solutions to the problems before they are allowed to impact the project.

RATE: £25 - £30 per hour

LENGTH: 6 month rolling contract
