ENGINEERING PROJECT ENGINEER

CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS

SUFFOLK

ENGINEERING PROJECT ENGINEER- required to be involved in managing and controlling projects from all stages of design, build and implementation within a manufacturing perspective. The successful candidate will be working for a global pharmaceutical company with an outstanding reputation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:- - Solid process/project engineering experience with specific experience within Fine Chemical/Pharmaceutical or similar heavy regulated environment
- Experienced in planning, designing and programming projects and preparing estimates
- Capable of controlling the finance allocated to the project
- Ability to effectively co-ordinate a multidisciplinary project team and be able to communicate and work with people at senior and junior levels (internally and externally)

DESIRABLE:- - Appreciation of civil, electrical and environmental engineering and the ramification of high quality finishing to FDA and MCA approval is necessary
- Working knowledge of the various types of conditions of contracts
- Awareness of current CDM Regulations and its application
- Conversant with GMP or GLP standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:- - Develop practical, cost effective engineering designs taking full account of the many competing factors; technical, operational and economic
- Establish by consultation with the requester the scope of work and timetable
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements in relevant production equipment/processes so that the company acquires the correct equipment for manufacturing it's products hence increasing its competitiveness
- Initiate enquiries, evaluate proposals and collect data for preparation of accurate and realistic estimates and schedules for approval
- Direct and supervise contract labour working on their assigned projects in the execution of their work, ensuring good communication, training, GMP and safety compliance and to achieve schedule and budget targets
- Organise mechanical testing, commissioning and validation of new facility/equipment, assuring Customer/QA as a part of project team
- Assists Maintenance engineering with breakdown issues and provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support
