Project Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a global Oil and Gas operator who is offering an excellent career opportunity for experienced Project Engineers, Managers and FEED Engineering specialists. The position of Project Engineer offers a fantastic opportunity on a long-term contract basis with the potential for further extensions, with a major Oil and Gas operator in Aberdeen on an excellent package.

The successful applicant will be the company's representative to the FEED Engineering Contractor, and will overseeing their performance on a major plant upgrade project. They will initially manage the project through FEED and then through Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning phases. The must ensure both Process Safety and Occupational Safety standards are met and oversee cost and scheduling.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

*Strong experience and knowledge as Project Engineer/Manager within Oil and Gas with exposure to Design Contractors and contract management
*Experience of acting as Company representative in relation to Engineering Contractors
*Educated to degree level in engineering discipline (Chartered engineers preferred).
*Significant engineering & construction management experience (planning, cost control, contracting).
*Relevant experience of large hydrocarbon process plant improvements - scopes such as liquid efficiency upgrades/methanol recovery and furnace upgrades would be an advantage
