Project Engineer

This is a fixed term contract, initially 12 months with the possibility of a long term permanent appointment. Working on a top tier Comah site for a global chemical producer, you will be reporting into the Chief Engineer. Main Duties: In conjunction with the client and customers, develop and agree a project brief. Prepare a project plan, prepare estimates for preliminary design work and definitive estimates for project approval. Manage the project against the plan and within the approved budget. Regularly report progress against the plan and produce forecast final costs. Also to manage multiple projects and meet their objectives without any negative impacts on health, safety and the environment. Skills: Proven track record in Project management (essential) People manager ability to lead a project team and manage contractors (essential) Change management (essential) Negotiation skills & managing peoples expectations Ability to manage several projects at the same time Deliver training and produce training guides Good IT skills including Auto Cad/Project Qualifications: Ideally a Graduate in Engineering (ideally Mechanical Engineering) HSE certificate essential, e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH Keywords: PROJECT ENGINEER MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER
