My client are a global Oil and Gas Operator based in Aberdeen, they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer who will manage specific, multiple work-scopes and provide technical/
engineering/contract management advice in relation to multi-discipline facilities upgrades/modifications at the St Fergus terminal.

In this role the successful candidate will provide work direction and technical guidance to Project Department management and contractor personnel. Liaising daily with Operations & Projects Departments to manage work-scopes/projects and consistently ensuring the highest safety standards and optimisation of hydrocarbon production.

There will be no direct reports based in Aberdeen, however it may be requested that the individual manages construction activities on site. Depending on the size of site activities this may require supervision of a 20 to 30 person team on site.

Main responsibilities:
Manage the execution of Engineering Modifications with the incumbent Engineering Services Contractor
Manage the Engineering and Fabric maintenance contractor to deliver scopes of work on time and within budget
Interface with company's 3rd party verifier to ensure all Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning work meets the companies verification scheme requirements for SCE's
Liaise with the Facilities & Modifications Team and Proponent Engineers for SOW, budgets and Operations dept management approval
Monitor progress of work and costs incurred by the Engineering and Fabric Maintenance Contractors and feedback information to Operations personnel
Ensure the Project considers and manages Maintenance Engineering deliverables, Fully populates companies Document Management System and Maintenance Management Systems.
Raise & amend AFE's/CWO's and RO's as necessary,
Ensure timely Technical and financial close out of works
Provide technical input to contract tenders and negotiations relating to modification work-scopes and projects
Produce budgets and plans for specific work-scopes or projects and manage the cost control process and ensure closure expenditure is within acceptable % of original budget
Co-ordinate a wide range of activities during shutdown planning and execution, liaising with site shutdown co-ordinators, onshore technical teams and the engineering services contractor to ensure the successful preparation and execution of planned shutdowns
Participate in/contribute to safety studies/HAZOPS, etc.
Conduct ad-hoc technical surveys/audits on site/offshore and at vendor/repair locations, ensuring optimum performance from contractors.

Education/Skills/Experience:
Appropriate experience of engineering/Projects within Oil & Gas Industry
Engineering or Project Management degree
High level of interpersonal skills, ability to deal with high levels of stress in a continuously changing and demanding environment and ability to deal with a large number of activities within short time scales
Proven capability of understanding process plant and equipment problems
Excellent administration skills combined with understanding of budget preparation and estimating methodologies
Proven experience of managing multiple projects/modifications
Ability to plan and prioritise multiple tasks in line with Asset objectives and operational constraints
Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations relevant to discipline
Significant knowledge of offshore/terminal plant and equipment and maintenance systems (ESSENTIAL)
Recognised level of Company expertise in technical discipline
