Projektbeschreibung
This position will manage the planning, design, tender and construction process of a logistic centre and automated high Bay warehouse for the Pizza facility being constructed for Dr. Oetker Canada in London, Ontario.
The position will be involved in the following activities:
Define and clarify to a Canadian consultant team German building standards from the facilities of Dr. Oetker
Project Management of the design and construction process on behalf of the owner
Review all design drawings and make recommendations for construction improvements
Review of all drawings and documentation provided by the consultants for building permit
Review all tender documents and specifications issued by the Canadian consultants
Attend all bidder meetings together with the Canadian construction manager
Oversee the construction work
Manage the RFI-Process and make recommendations for construction details in collaboration with consultants and construction manager
Manage the change order process and make recommendations for alternative solutions
Oversee the process of remediation of defects
Manage the project schedule
Manage the project budget
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED/ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required and Master's degree is preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in managing construction projects in Germany
Minimum 5 years' experience in building design, creating tender documents and management of construction projects
Experience in handling international industrial facility projects
Negotiation skills
Basic skills in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
Must be able to travel and have a valid driver's license
Must be a team player with the ability to work with all the departments within the company and with our suppliers and consultants
Must have excellent English and German language skills
