28-32 p/h Ltd, 6 Month Contract, Immediate Start

With 75% of all cars manufactured in the UK being exported to Russia, China and India, this global supplier of automotive components has been awarded several major programmes of works to support new launches and changes to existing models. With several programmes already underway, the company urgently needs to recruit an experienced project engineer with trim experience. The successful project engineer will possess the following experience:
- Project engineering experience - could also be known as product engineers, component engineers, PMST engineers, module leaders, application engineers.
- Interior trim experience within a tier one environment - any parts inside the car excluding seating. Examples could be roof linings, pillars, carpets, consoles, cockpits, pillars, plastics, etc.

The role will involve:
- Taking a selection of components and will be tasked to deliver the full design and engineering.
- Reporting into the lead engineer.
- Leading the design and making sure it is done (not doing CAD).
- Customer liaison with Land Rover.
- Selecting best materials.
- Completing documentation - DFMEAs, DVPMRs (for verifications).
- Feasibilities studies.
- Liaising with CAE (computer aided engineering).
- Working with the tooling team to get feasible tooling.
- Assessing incoming parts, support build issues, testing.
- Getting things through to launch phase.

- 28-32 p/h Ltd. The company will pay up to 40 hours per week.
- Monthly pay.
